How much solar do I need?
That depends on your annual energy usage. Give us a call and we’ll help you figure out how many panels you need based on your utility bill and site conditions.
Can I install solar myself?
Yes—many of our customers are DIYers. If you're comfortable with tools and instructions, you can install it yourself or work with a local contractor.
What if I don’t have experience?
No problem. Manufacturers provide clear installation instructions, and we’re here to guide you—or we can handle the install for you.
Is my system under warranty?
Yes. Manufacturer warranties apply when the system is installed correctly. We follow all spec requirements to ensure coverage.
What if my roof is shaded?
Shade reduces power output, but we’ll design your system to minimize the impact. In some cases, ground mounts or hybrid systems are a better fit.
What’s the maximum solar I can get?
It depends on your roof space, shading, and your home’s electrical service panel. We’ll assess it and let you know your optimal system size.
Will my system work during a power outage?
Not unless you have a battery. Standard grid-tied systems shut off during outages, but we can design a battery-backed system if backup power is important to you.
How long do solar systems last?
Most systems last 20–25 years or more. Panel efficiency slowly decreases over time, but performance remains strong for decades.
I already bought a solar kit. Can I still get a permit?
Yes—we specialize in creating permit-ready plan sets for people who’ve already bought equipment. Just send us your list and we’ll take care of the rest.
Do you offer full-service solar?
Yes, we can handle design, equipment, and installation—or just the parts you need. You're in control.
Can you work with my contractor or architect?
Absolutely. We often coordinate with architects, builders, and owner-builders—especially for new homes or additions.
What if another company left my project unfinished?
We handle rescue jobs all the time. Whether it’s recreating a lost plan set, finishing an install, or helping you pass final inspection—we can help.
Do you handle permit paperwork?
Yes. We provide permit-ready plans and can handle online NEM applications or exemption letters when needed.
Can I get started without financing?
Yes. Because we offer design-only, equipment-only, and install-only services, you can avoid big loans and pay as you go.
Do you service systems you didn’t install?
Yes—we offer repairs, diagnostics, and add-ons (like bird netting) even if we didn’t install your system.
Do you offer battery systems?
Yes. We design battery and hybrid systems and can help you decide if energy storage is right for you.
Are your designs Title 24 compliant?
Yes. Our plans meet California’s energy code (Title 24) and are compatible with new construction documents.
